We as people nowadays are so sensitive what comes to land ownership. 

System is built that everything is somehow private, owned by individuals, companies or nations.

It is commonly acceptable to claim and rule the spaces with 

signs, money, fences, borders, passports, land mines..etc. 

You are in or out.

My site was the plot behind the Arabia campus. 

It's been used as a community garden by the neighborhood residents.

For most passerby's the plot functions as a short cut.

I wanted to make an intervention to that function 

and see how people would react.

I placed a sign on the other end of the shortcut..

..but against all the odds it did not work!

So I placed a second one. 

That did not work that well either..

..there were some exceptions..

..some even literally jumping away from the path..

..but mainly people were holding their rights to use the shortcut.

To sum up my thoughts:

I'm profoundly happy 

that most of the people did not give a shit

 about my sign and kept their right to use the shortcut.

This gave me even more reason to think my intentions a bit further.

What gives me the right to put "art", 

or any kind of interventions which serves only my interest,

 to public spaces.

There is a fine line between exploiting the people and collecting information.

This was not a way to make a point. This was not helpful to anyone else than me.

In the future I will use this method to actually make a point.

For me this crystallized even more my main interest in making art, 

I want to make art with people and for people.
